This combined collection will benefit areas in the Church that are greatest in need. There are many places beyond our borders where the Church is poor, communities are scattered, and priests are few. This special appeal helps Catholic communities in Latin America, Black and Native American Home Missions, Catholic Home Missions, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe, by underwriting evangelization, religious education, education for future priests, and training for lay ministers.

The 12th annual Catholic Men’s Conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at San José Parish in Austin. This year’s theme is “Spiritual Fatherhood.” Matthew Leonard and Devin Schadt will be the featured presenters. The day will also include the Mass, the rosary, confession and fellowship.

The Rite of Election will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10:30am at St. Margaret Mary in Cedar Park, TX.

In February we celebrate the feast of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, patron saints of the Czech Republic and patron saint of Slavic peoples. In honor of these saints, a Czech Mass will be celebrated on Feb. 18 at 5 p.m., at Holy Trinity Parish in Corn Hill. All prayers, readings and hymns will be in the Czech language. After Mass, a dinner will be served in the Parish Activity Center. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate this special feast day of Sts. Cyril and Methodius.

The Knights of Columbus at St. Philip in China Spring are hosting Lenten Fish Fry Fridays through March 22. Serving begins at 5 p.m. and will last until the fish is gone! The drive-through meals include fish, sides, and dessert. The dine-in meals include fish, sides, dessert and drink. All plates are $12.
