We have all likely seen the situation in Venezuela that occurred this weekend. In solidarity with our Holy Father, who calls us to, "trust in the God of peace," I too ask for your prayers for our brothers and sisters of Venezuela calling upon our Most Blessed Mother Mary to provide succor and strength to the people of Venezuela and the world.
May a spirit of compassion now rise for all victims of conflict -- for the innocent, the displaced, the grieving, and the forgotten. Let us choose awareness over indifference, and prayer over silence.
Let us commit to being peacemakers in our daily lives speaking truth with kindness and refusing to let hatred harden our hearts. United in His Mystical Body, let us join in prayer so that all leaders be guided by wisdom and humility, and communities be restored with dignity and care knowing that our shared humanity in Christ is always stronger than conflict.
Sincerely in Christ, Most Reverend Daniel E. Garcia
