Bishop Daniel E. Garcia will celebrate the Chrism Mass on March 31 at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Austin.
The Chrism Mass is one of the most solemn and important annual liturgies for the diocesan church. This is the Mass during which the priests of the diocese renew their priestly promises, and the bishop consecrates the Sacred Chrism and blesses the Oil of the Catechumens and the Oil of the Sick, which will be used at diocesan parishes for the next year.
