Tomorrow, we celebrate Mother’s Day; a day to give thanks to God for all mothers, those who continue to care for us and mothers who have passed from this life into God. We also give thanks to God for mothers of adopted children and those who stand-in for mothers when we need to know the kindness and presence of a mother.
Pope Francis once said, “A society without mothers would be a dehumanized society, for mothers are always, even in the worst moments, witnesses of tenderness, dedication, and moral strength. Dearest mothers, thank you, thank you for what you are in your family and for what you give to the Church and the world’s”.
Invoking the intercession of our patroness, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, we entrust all mothers to God’s good providence that he may give them the faithful courage needed to walk with their children through lives of joy and challenge.
