Cedarbrake Retreat | Coping with and working taking steps to work through grief is the focus of this day’s retreat. Retreatants will identify and reflect on their personal grief symptoms followed by a ritual to help ease the pain of grief and increase positive emotions. Father Harry Dean, along with spiritual directors Clyde Gottschalk and Judy Hoelscher, will lead this retreat. The cost is $50 which includes lunch.
Cedarbrake Retreat | Cedarbrake's annual summer silent retreat offers the option of two to five nights with daily mass, talks, adoration, confession, and communal prayer. Andrew Blila, parishioner and catechist at St. Patrick’s in Hutto, will give several talks on the life of St. Augustine and the call to holiness for all. Cedarbrake Chaplain Fr. Harry Dean and Cedarbrake Director Brian Egan will share reflections. Spiritual direction will also be offered.
Cedarbrake Retreat | Come retreat from the noise of the world and receive a day of quiet to learn from Fr. Henri Nouwen's book, "The Way of the Heart.” Deacon Dan Lupo will share insights from Fr. Nouwen’s wisdom on how to abide in God via solitude, silence and prayer. Deacon Dan is a diocesan Spiritual Director and Deacon at St. Thomas More parish in Austin.
Cedarbrake Retreat | This three-day retreat for young adults and adults with divorced parents invites participants to move through the broken image of love in their parents’ relationship to their deepest identity found in God. The retreat gives participants a greater understanding of the wound of divorce and how it affects their lives, offers advice about the difficulties concerning love and trust of others, and explains how the Catholic faith, spiritual practices, and the sacraments are essential to self-knowledge and healing.
Cedarbrake Retreat | Forgiveness is at the heart of our faith, but it was never meant to leave us defenseless. Karen May will lead a retreat for those navigating painful or harmful relationships who are ready to discover that freedom can be found in faithful forgiveness and that love itself sometimes calls us to set limits. Karen is an author, speaker, spiritual director, and a parishioner at St. John Neumann in Austin. The cost for this retreat is $50.
Unless otherwise stated, all Days of Reflection begin with light refreshments & registration at 8:30am.
Most Days of Reflection begin promptly at 9 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m.
If you wish to stay a night in conjunction with the Day of Reflection, you may do so at a discounted rate depending on room availability. Please call in advance for room availability and reservations.
All weekend retreats begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday noon. Meals are provided starting Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday morning.
All bed and bath linens are provided.
Personal items such as soap, shampoo, hair dryers, etc are not provided.
