Cedarbrake Retreat [Spiritual Director Annual Workshop] | We all experience uncertain times when what was is ended and what will be is unknown. Moving to a new location, ending a relationship, or losing a job can be challenging. How do we help ourselves and our spiritual directees navigate these difficult transitions called “liminal spaces”? During this weekend, Albert Haase, OFM, will explore the reality of liminal space, why we resist it, how to navigate it, how it fits into the Paschal Mystery, and how it is experienced in spiritual darkness.
Cedarbrake Retreat | Join us as we enter the Lenten season to reflect more deeply on God’s tremendous love for us. Fr. Harry Dean and Brian Egan will share spiritual messages about what this sacred time of preparation asks of us. The day will include lunch and Mass with the distribution of ashes. The cost is $50.
Cedarbrake Retreat | The struggles that we face as Catholic men and women living our faith and growing into a relationship with Christ are enormous. We are anxious about many aspects of our lives, and at times, we can become spiritually dry. If we want to "Stay Hydrated", we must drink from the living water every day! Bill Moyer, a spiritual director, father, and parishioner at St. Jerome's Waco, will lead this day retreat.
Cedarbrake Retreat | Surrendering to God’s will is a daily choice for us to make and was modeled for us by Our blessed Mother and Jesus. Maria Cuevas, a spiritual director and member of St. John Neumann parish in Austin will give two talks and Brian Egan will also give a reflection. Fr. Harry Dean will celebrate mass and the Sacrament of Reconciliation on this silent retreat. There will be ample time for silence, communal prayer and listening to God speaking to our hearts.
Cedarbrake Retreat | What can we learn from St. Monica, who displayed great strength and faith, praying for thirty years that her husband and son (St. Augustine) would embrace the Catholic faith after choosing a different path? Our adult children sometimes drift away from the practice of faith. This day retreat offers strength to continue praying and growing stronger in the virtue of hope.
