Scouts Read Sacred Texts Worldwide

Sacred texts provide an important way for Scouts to connect with their religious beliefs, that’s why Scouts Read Sacred Texts can be so valuable to youth and their families. The event is held in conjunction with the U.S. National Day of Prayer. Youth are encouraged to read their text on that day—or anytime that week, when it’s convenient.

Scouts Read Sacred Texts, an initiative originating from Scouting America’s National Religious Relationships Committee, is now a worldwide invitation to Youth - designed to inspire them to set aside some time to read a sacred text from their religion. Click here for more information.
