To enliven the local church’s missionary impulse through spiritual formation and support so that Catholics may become more effective witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus Christ;
To support the vital ministry of catechesis through the education and formation of parish catechists and ministry leaders.
To implement the directives of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan through a consistent, professional and pastoral response to the needs of deaneries, parishes, and language/ethnic groups.
At this Mass, Scouts from Scouts BSA, Girl Scouts, and American Heritage Girls who have earned a religious emblem or award in the previous year. Eagle Scouts and Gold Award and Stars and Stripes awardees are invited to attend. Adult recognition awards are also awarded at this Mass.

All scouts, scouting families, and scout leaders are invited to join Fr. Jakob Hurlimann and the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting for a 5-mile hike on our journey to be apostles of faith. The day will begin at 10 a.m. Bring your own lunch and water bottle.
