"Lent is a sacred season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, preparing the faithful for the celebration of the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter. During these forty days, the Church calls us to ongoing conversion of heart, renewed reliance on God’s mercy, and deeper participation in the Paschal Mystery, following the biblical tradition of forty days of preparation."

"This February marks one hundred years of commemorating Black history in the United States. This milestone is an opportunity for us to prayerfully reflect on the ways history has been preserved, honored, and passed on across generations."

La Cuaresma es una temporada sagrada de oración, ayuno y limosna, que prepara a los fieles para la celebración de la Resurrección del Señor en Pascua. Durante estos cuarenta días, la Iglesia nos llama a la conversión continua del corazón, a una renovada confianza en la misericordia de Dios y a una participación más profunda en el Misterio Pascual, siguiendo la tradición bíblica de cuarenta días de preparación.
