Austin Vocations | Andrew Dinners are evenings of prayer, group sharing, and dinner with priests and seminarians in a local parish setting. This event is for young men ages 14-18 (optional – parents may attend).

Hosted by the Mercy of God Prayer Center | If you ever faced puzzling or difficult situations and wondered "Where was God in this event?" this writing workshop offers a way to discern God's presence in those troubling times and receive his clarity and healing. Led by Spiritual Director and former writing instructor Deacon Dan Lupo, PhD, we will spend five weeks writing to reveal Jesus' healing presence in our lives.

For Restorative Justice Ministry volunteers, those interested in learning more about ministry to the incarcerated, and those affected by incarceration.

Father Kevin Rai leads Marian Mornings on first Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon at St. Elizabeth Parish in Pflugerville. The morning includes Mass, a teaching, prayer time, silence and time for the sacrament of reconciliation.

St. John Neumann Parish in Austin hosts a Mass for Vocations at 8:45 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.

St. Mary Church of the Assumption in Waco hosts a Mass and Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. All are welcome!

Open to all families (scouting involvement not required) and all scouting troops and organizations. The cost is $50 per family or $15 for individual; before July 14, 2026. Youth must be accompanied by a troop leader, parent or adult.

St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Austin host a Filipino Mass on the first Saturday of the month at 4 p.m. Fellowship follows the Mass at the Parish Activity Center. All are invited to bring a dish to share. Come and join us and meet your kababayan!

St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in College Station hosts a Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the main church. All are welcome!

DRE’s with 0-3 years of experience are invited to the annual bootcamp. Bootcamp is an opportunity to equip yourself with the knowledge, courage, and wisdom you will need to tackle all the responsibilities that come your way, including using approved texts, EIM requirements and the like. We’ll meet on Tuesday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pastoral Center. Lunch is included.

Austin Vocations | Every 2nd Saturday of the month, Sr Silvia Tarafa, SCTJM, will provide a program of formation for your vocation to give you the tools to discern and live out the vocation the Lord calls you to. Open to unmarried women seeking to discover their vocation, ages 16 to 35.

St. Mary Church of the Assumption in West will host its annual Feast Day Festival Aug. 9 at the West Columbus Club. A lunch of fried or baked chicken and sausage with all the trimmings will be served for $15 per plate. Small plates are $10. St. John Parish in Fayetteville hosts a Holy Hour for Vocations on the third Saturday of each month following the 7:30 a.m. Mass. All are welcome!

Aug. 16: St. Monica Parish in Cameron will host its annual Homecoming Festival on the parish grounds. The day begins with a Polka Mass at 10 a.m. Barbecue beef and sausage plates will be served at 10:30 a.m. for $15 a plate until sold out. There will be game booths for all ages, food booths, a live auction and live entertainment throughout the day. All are welcome!

The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting meets quarterly to assess the needs of our Catholic Scouting population and to plan age-appropriate events to foster a deeper appreciation of our faith. In addition, the committee sponsors adult training for religious emblem counselor roles.
