Cedarbrake Retreat | This three-day retreat for young adults and adults with divorced parents invites participants to move through the broken image of love in their parents’ relationship to their deepest identity found in God. The retreat gives participants a greater understanding of the wound of divorce and how it affects their lives, offers advice about the difficulties concerning love and trust of others, and explains how the Catholic faith, spiritual practices, and the sacraments are essential to self-knowledge and healing.

Aug. 16: St. Monica Parish in Cameron will host its annual Homecoming Festival on the parish grounds. The day begins with a Polka Mass at 10 a.m. Barbecue beef and sausage plates will be served at 10:30 a.m. for $15 a plate until sold out. There will be game booths for all ages, food booths, a live auction and live entertainment throughout the day. All are welcome!
The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting meets quarterly to assess the needs of our Catholic Scouting population and to plan age-appropriate events to foster a deeper appreciation of our faith. In addition, the committee sponsors adult training for religious emblem counselor roles.
