Cedarbrake Retreat | Aging can often be seen as a time of loss and decline. It is also an opportunity to live faithfully and grow in grace while letting go of fears and doubts. Judy Hoelscher will invite us to explore aspects of aging that challenge us but also call us to respond in faith. Judy is a spiritual director, a retired Chaplain from Temple and a parishioner at St. Luke’s. Holy Mass will be part of the retreat and the cost for the day is $50, which includes lunch.

This year's Interactive Eucharistic Miracle Exhibit will feature Year C Eucharistic wonders and awe for the whole family Jan. 31-Feb. 6 in the Parish Evangelization Center at St. William Parish in Round Rock. There are two amazing tracks, younger and older. This third year of the younger track is again brand new and has never been hosted before. It was designed and written by an Ascension’s Catholic children’s author and children’s Adoration specialist, Melissa Kirking. The purpose of this training is to educate and inform the audience on an overview of Adult Protective Services and reporting requirements. This training covers the basics for reporting through the hotline and online reporting system. This event is designed for young men, ages 14-49, to help you discern a vocation to the priesthood. It is an opportunity to meet many priests from our Diocese, hear their discernment stories, and learn about the priesthood. We’ll also celebrate Mass and spend time in prayer and adoration. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. There is no cost.
Mercy of God Prayer Center will offer the Receiving Inner Healing Day Retreat Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the parish hall at St. Mary Parish in Caldwell. Jesus came to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually: helping the blind see, helping the lame walk, restoring the dead to life. Many don't realize that Jesus' healing mission continues today in the Catholic Church. Deacons Dan Lupo and Rod Reyna -- healing prayer ministers from Mercy of God Prayer Center in Austin -- will explain the Scriptural roots of Jesus' healing mission, review current Catholic-based efforts to continue that mission, and demonstrate the practice of healing prayer. The day will also include Adoration, prayer, and testimony. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Donation is $45.
