As the United States continues to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, St. Austin Catholic Church and School, in partnership with the Diocese of Austin, invites you to Honoring the Many Journeys that Shaped America, a special service of prayer and reflection.

The Diocese of Austin will host a celebration of the 100th anniversary of World Mission Sunday Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Parish in Pflugerville. Father Tom Reitmeyer, vicar general of the diocese, will celebrate the Mass. Afterwards, participants are invited to the parish hall for light refreshments and a Mission Fair. All are welcome to join in prayer, fellowship, and a renewed commitment to sharing the Gospel through missionary discipleship.

Over the years, Black Catholics have set aside a day to reflect on the pastoral needs of people from throughout the African diaspora. Continuing that tradition, Catholics of all cultures are cordially invited to participate in this annual Day of Reflection with the Black Apostolate.
